How to Install Trading Card Scanner for Windows

Overview

Thank you for your interest in using the Trading Card Scanner for Windows. This guide will walk you through the installation process for the Early Access desktop application.

How to install

1. Download the app (Direct Download)

Use the link above to download the app. The app will immediately begin downloading to your downloads folder.

2. Launch the Installer

Navigate to the folder where the Trading Card Scanner file was saved. Double-click to launch the setup wizard.

3. Click More Info on SmartScreen Warning

Your system will display a warning, Windows protected your PC. This warning is normal and is safe to proceed. Click the More Info text link. 

*This warning is shown because the current Early Access version of the application does not include a signed certification. Future public versions of the app will not display this warning.

4. Continue through SmartScreen Warning

""After clicking on the More Info link you will see a new button on the prompt, Run anyway. Click the Run anyway button to continue to installation. 

5.Start Installation Setup Wizard

The Trading Card Scanner Setup wizard will launch and guide you through the next steps of installation. Click Next button to continue.

6.Select Destination Folder 

Choose a destination where to install the application and click the Next button to continue.

7. Proceed to Installation

Click the Install button to begin app installation.

7. Give permission for app to make changes to your device

After clicking Install, a final prompt will be displayed asking you to Allow the app to make changes to your device. Click YES.

8. App is Installed 

The app files will now be installed to your computer. This will only take about a minute. After installation is completed click Finish Install and check Launch Trading Card Scanner to open the app.

8. Start scanning!

The Trading Card Scanner app is now installed! Time to start scanning!
